Sprints
Sprints are time-boxed iterations that help teams work in focused, manageable cycles.
What is a Sprint?
A sprint is a fixed period (typically 1-4 weeks) during which specific work must be completed. Sprints help teams:
- •Focus on a defined set of tasks
- •Deliver incremental value regularly
- •Review and adapt their process
Sprint Status
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Planning | Sprint is being prepared, tasks being assigned |
| Active | Sprint is currently in progress |
| Completed | Sprint has ended |
Creating Sprints
- 1.On the Board view, click "+ Add Sprint" at the bottom
- 2.Enter a name (e.g., "Sprint 1", "December Release")
- 3.Optionally set start and end dates
- 4.Click Create
Managing Sprints
Change Sprint Status
- 1.Click the sprint header to expand options
- 2.Select the new status from the dropdown
Edit Sprint Details
- 1.Click the edit icon on the sprint header
- 2.Update name or dates
- 3.Save changes
Delete a Sprint
- 1.Click the trash icon on the sprint header
- 2.Confirm deletion
- 3.Tasks will move to Drafts
Assigning Tasks to Sprints
From Board View
- •Drag tasks from Drafts or another sprint into the target sprint
From Task Modal
- 1.Open the task details
- 2.Select a sprint from the Sprint dropdown
Sprint Swimlanes
The Board view organizes tasks in swimlanes:
- •Each sprint is a horizontal row
- •Groups are columns within each sprint
- •The Drafts panel shows tasks not assigned to any sprint
Tips for Effective Sprints
- •Start small: 1-2 week sprints for new teams
- •Plan capacity: Don't overload sprints
- •Keep focus: Avoid adding tasks mid-sprint
- •Review regularly: Check progress daily
- •Retrospect: Learn from completed sprints
